Orco Steel, LLC. is an established and growing Rebar & PT installation contracting company located in Pasadena, TX. We have an excellent opportunity for the right person willing to learn and grow with us in the project management department. The ideal candidate will have some previous experience in construction project management and estimating, be a team player, organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented and driven to succeed. This is an entry level position, and we will provide all necessary training. As a Jr. Project Manager at Orco Steel you will gain firsthand construction experience building some of the largest projects in the southern United States. All new hires for this position will take part in a new training program meant to build on your past experiences and prepare you for future growth within the company.


Training and Onboarding

Our training program consists of three parts and is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge to be highly successful, resourceful and promotable.


·         Part 1 - Initial training at our office in Pasadena, TX and will take 2-3 months to familiarize you with the Team, The company, Policy, procedures and basic PM tasks.

·         Part 2 - Field training hands on. This phase of training will take place at one of our large out of state projects and last 3-6 months. During this time, you will work in the field, with field crews learning the ins and outs of the rebar industry and all field positions.

·         Part 3 - By this time the individual will have a great understanding of the industry and our company. During this phase we will work on refining the newly acquired skills and assign you to your own projects to manage.

Duties and Responsibilities


·         Work closely with Customers and field crews to ensure customer satisfaction.

·         Monitor construction schedule, production rates and job profitability.

·         Visit jobsites frequently to monitor progress and maintain customer relationships.

·         Review & explore documentation in order to gain a deep understanding of the project requirements

·         Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work, bid breakout and required contents of estimates

·         Review construction sites and document existing/challenging conditions

·         Consult other resources including personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues

·         Prepare reports to track actual costs vs Estimate for monthly review for all projects assigned.

·         Track design changes and prepare Change Orders for submittal

·         Review EWOs (Extra Work Orders) and submit for invoicing.

·         Build relationships with current customers to ensure continued bidding activity

·         Attend pre-construction site visits (Occasional travel for site visits may be required)

·         Verification of proper documentation for payment and submit invoicing to clients

·         Accounts receivable tracking and inquiries to provide monthly cost and revenue projections * · Work with Accounting to develop and process purchase orders in Accounting Software System

·         Receive and manage purchase order, subcontract, and change orders

·         Request certificates of insurance, W-9, and SF 1413 from subcontractors/vendors as required * Ensure project file management is being properly utilized by performing periodic and random audits of files

·         Maintain and update job related information in project files.

·         Manage submittal processes

·         Manage project set up and close out

·         Create and present reports to upper management

·         Build and maintain long-term relationships with the key vendors

Requirements
